Let’s take a brief break from E3 – shall we? I came into work today and sat down to go about my day with my iPod on shuffle to keep me from bludgeoning myself with a stapler when this gem came on:
…a song from the SMASH 90′s hit family sitcom “Dinosaurs” it was none other than Baby Sinclair singing “I’m the baby, gotta love me…” etc.
How would something like this happen you ask? Simple.
It’s all Arien’s fault…
That son of a bitch loves playing grating music over voice chat while we’re in Team Fortress 2. Of course he plays the occasional gem like “Don’t Stop Me Now” by Queen or other inspirational hits, but this particular tune is a goldmine of griefing that he unleashes upon unsuspecting masses. When it plays people cannot bare to hear it and he is met with an onslaught of angry responses. Even hardened trolls have yelled at him to knock it off. It’s quite remarkable.
To be honest, even some of the annoying shit that he plays is met enthusiastically – people “get it”. This song though? Nope. So imagine my surprise in seeing the goddamn thing in my iPod. Of course, I figured out how it happened. I tested the audio in iTunes to make sure the clip played fine before he threw it in HLDJ and then I forgot about it. It sat there like a bomb or unwanted child until one day it struck out at me. Today was that day. D-day. Dinosaurs Day.
I personally would have been much happier if one of the random King of the Hill clips he played ended up on there. Nothing like getting your work day started to this:
Instead I got greeted with this:
And in case you need your brain washed out listen to Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now”
I’m going to get back to work and probably just leave my iPod off so I can forget it ever happened, but somehow I think that song will be forever etched in my brain. When I am on my deathbed and family and friends surround me and I can’t even remember the name of my wife or parents the last thing I will utter is “I’m the baby, gotta love me!”
A sad end indeed.

Aw man… fuck that song! Now it’s stuck in my head!
Man, what a great show.
I love Queen; great song!
Also, 9/11 was an inside job!
I’m with Arien, here. I think I need to add that song to my Ipod to play over and over again on long car rides…
Rest assured that I CAN get it to you.
