Castlevania: Harmony of Despair release date and pricing

Today our pals at Konami announced the multiplayer (with 5 pals of your own!) Castlevania title is headed for XBLA on August 4th.  Only a month to go before we can finally traverse through levels “inspired by the worlds of Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruin and Order of Ecclesia via online co-op play”.    More info after the jump.

For 1200 Microsoft Points (roughly $15) you can snag the title.  It was also announced that they don’t plan on dropping the ball with this one. DLC has been planned for the game including new levels and characters to keep players interested moving forward.  While you will be able to work together with your friends it will also feature a competitive mode as well to really get the swear words flying.  While it is unfortunate that PS3 owners won’t be able to get in on it, the lot of us are pretty excited, especially Angel.

    Any word on onscreen co-op? Like, can I play with someone in the same room AND over Live?
