The text based adventure game is an antiquated genre largely forgotten in today’s world. I’m not a fan of the genre myself and it would take nothing less than an absolutely stellar and compelling game to pull me in. I have found that game.
JUMP WITH ME FOR THE REST
Welcome to Don’t Shit Your Pants. Don’t let the name drive you away; this is a game that will challenge your mind and reward you for logic and experimentation. The premise is simple. You’re an average, everyday guy stuck in a potentially embarrassing predicament – a furiously gurgling stomach and a bathroom door that just won’t open. It’s the most tense 40 seconds you will ever play and it rivals the first Saw movie in the feeling of sheer desperation to do anything to get out of your current situation relatively unscathed. No, your life is not in danger. Something worse is at stake – sheer dignity and civility. To forfeit these is to reject what puts us above animals and makes us truly human. To get every ending though (and there are many), you must submit to the forces of anarchy and let your chaotic sphincter take control. Do you have it in you to let this happen? Can you get every ending? Can you be the Shit King?
Gameplay is simple. You just type in commands. If you’ve never played a game like this, don’t fret. It’s not like the text adventures from ages past that would have you stuck up for ridiculous amounts of time. It’s simple. Maybe you want to LOOK at things to inspect it. Try OPENing something, or just SEARCH around. The timer might put pressure on things, but be patient, take a bit of time to think, and it’ll come naturally. I believe in you. If you can’t still think it’s too hard and won’t give it a proper go then maybe you should KILL yourself.
Don’t miss this game. Don’t Shit Your Pants.
