Wednesday, July 14th, 2010It’s no secret that I am a huge No More Heroes fan, and just as big a fan of Bryan Lee O’Malley’s series. We at GNSU are anticipating the movie coming this August and apparently so is Youtube user kmhikari! They combined the audio from the Scott Pilgrim trailer with scenes from No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle to create this fantastic fan trailer. Check it out below:
New track from the upcoming Scott Pilgrim game
Tuesday, July 13th, 2010Hell yes! Anamanaguchi, the wonderful music wizards that they are, have released a new track from the upcoming Scott Pilgrim game. Holy shit does this reek of fantastic. Their chiptune meets rock and roll styling are clearly inspired by games of old so clearly they were a perfect choice for the side scrolling beat ‘em up due out on PSN August 10th (TBA for XBLA). The 6th and final book drops one week from today and the movie is out on the 13th of August. If you aren’t in the know with Scott Pilgrim or Anamanaguchi, then get in it or you are missing out.
Nintendo’s 3DS anti-piracy shenanigans
Tuesday, July 13th, 2010Nintendo is apparently beefing up anti-piracy measures with their upcoming hand held behemoth: the 3DS. The VP of THQ’s Global Publishing said: “The problem with the DS market in the last few years, particularly with the DS Lite, is that it’s just been attacked by piracy. It’s made it almost impossible to shift any significant volume. The DSi combated it a little bit, but the 3DS has taken that a step further. What excites me even more (than 3DS games) is that there’s technology built in that device to really combat piracy.”

Dead Rising 2 Box Art + more!
Thursday, July 8th, 2010Capcom released the box art for Dead Rising 2 today, and I think it captures the spirit of the game rather well. While our hero looks rather dapper with his motorcycle jacket and chainsaw-oar-deathmachine, I kind of like the look our pal in the tuxedo is sporting with the Servbot helmet.
