Capcom released the box art for Dead Rising 2 today, and I think it captures the spirit of the game rather well. While our hero looks rather dapper with his motorcycle jacket and chainsaw-oar-deathmachine, I kind of like the look our pal in the tuxedo is sporting with the Servbot helmet. Dead Rising 2 Box Art + more!
Thursday, July 8th, 2010Dead Rising 2 Release Date Announced
Monday, June 28th, 2010Today Capcom announced that Dead Rising 2 will be available in the US of A on September 28th 2010. Then you will be able to tackle hordes of the undead with makeshift duct tape weaponary including chainsaw lances and goddamn wolverine boxing gloves. How badass is that? Sure, it’s old news you’ll be able to DO those things but it’s pretty exciting if you consider the opportunities. I for one, am hoping for the ability to add a chainsaw bayonet to the megabuster. Or maybe a chainsaw bicycle lance. Or… okay, most of my ideas right now involve chainsaws but can you blame me?

Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is looking pretty killer
Thursday, May 27th, 2010Gameranx has put up some fresh-off-the-press screens from Capcom’s upcoming “Marvel vs. Capcom 3.”
The highly anticipated game is the next in line for the arcade fighter series. I have fond memories of discovering and playing the hell out of the second game in the series whenever I’d get a chance to visit an arcade, which was unfortunately rare. I was never one to learn the combos and intricacies of the break-neck speed game (I never really picked up on learning fighting games until Soul Calibur 2, to be honest) but let’s be real for a second, the game was still fun regardless of what you knew. Where else could you see Megaman teaming up with Venom and Blackheart in a free for all battle against a Sentinel, Wolverine and Ryu? I don’t know anything about tiers but that is a hilariously awesome matchup right there button mashing or not.
The only other place you might see it, in fact, is on deviantart but we’re going to let you discover that for yourselves.
The only thing we could hope for in the future is an even more expansive fighting series… like Mugen but official basically. One can dream I suppose…
